
The single A state track and field meet over at U-of-L Cardinal Park, and this meet belonged to one young man from Holy Cross.
Junior Jacob Thomson started the day by breaking Bobby Curtis' state record in the 16-hundred meters, winning in 4:10.82.
This is Thomson in his second event, the 800 meters.
He won that event as well.
Then with only about 30 minutes to rest in between, Thomson took to the track for a third time in the 32-hundred meters.
Thomson spent most of the race alongside Nicholas Waltman from Sayre.
Then with half a lap to go, look at the kick from Thomson.
Holy Cross finished third in the boys standings...St. Henry winning the boys and girls meet.
Thomson goes 3-for-3, including accomplishing his biggest mission on the day.
