LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A man who was shot and killed near the intersection of 32nd St. and Kentucky St. in west Louisville Thursday had a criminal history, according to court records.

Tyson Mimms died of gunshot wounds during a series of shootings that left three dead and three more injured.

Mimms had a history of run-ins with the law, according to court documents, which included a charge of murder, which was later dismissed.

In July 2009, a grand jury indicted Mimms for murder and tampering with physical evidence in connection with the March 10, 2009 death of Alfred D. Smith.

That murder also took place near the corner of 32nd St. and Kentucky St.

But on March 31, 2010, prosecutors dismissed those charges.
