LOUISVILLE, KY. (WDRB) -- A death investigation is underway after a body was located in Patoka Lake.

Indiana Conservation Officers were notified shortly after noon Saturday that a body was found about 50 feet from shore in Orange County.

The man has been identified as 55-year-old Terry Alvey of Tell City, Indiana.

It appears he was not wearing a life jacket, but a small raft was floating nearby.

After an autopsy, the Orange County Coroner's Office says the preliminary cause of death was consistent with drowning.
