LOUISVILLE, KY. (WDRB) -- Why travel to buy art or food -- when you can get it in your own backyard.
That's the point of Sunday's Buy Local First Fair.
The event brings together local businesses, artists, chefs, farmers and more.
One mother says she brings her kids each year to show them what goes into making the foods they eat every day.
"It's easier to sample and buy things here and meet the people. There's some great ice cream, the beer tent is awesome, cheese. Cheese is wonderful, and there's some interesting ways the children are learning how they make it," says Holly Kelley.
"We made little dirt balls with wildflower seeds in them and we also painted a very big thing," says Holly's daughter Reagan.
Sunday was the fourth annual Buy Local First Fair.
