LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Police say a Louisville woman is facing several felony charges after she ordered her 4-year-old child to grab a kitchen knife and stab her sister.
It happened on Saturday, shortly after 4 p.m. on Mae Street Kidd Avenue, just south of Miles Park. According to an arrest report, 26-year-old Tamera Jenkins got into an argument with her sister about a vehicle. That argument escalated until police say the two were physically fighting on the floor.
That's when Jenkins allegedly ordered her 4-year-old boy to grab a kitchen knife and stab his aunt.
Police say the 4-year-old did indeed grab the knife and "started a stabbing motion."
According to the arrest report, there were eight kids inside the residence at the time, all of whom were under the age of 10. As the 4-year-old attempted to follow his mother's orders to commit the stabbing, some of those children tried to intervene.
Police say two children sustained cuts to their hands and arms and had to get stitches.
Jenkins was arrested at the scene. She is charged with two counts of second-degree assault and nine counts of first-degree wanton endangerment.
There is no word on whether the aunt herself was injured.
