Indiana casinos bringing in less money

Posted: Updated:

LOUISVILLE, KY. (WDRB) -- Indiana's casinos are saying "hit me," but it appears more gamblers are choosing to fold.  After almost 20 years, the industry is seeing less money, along with growing out-of-state competition.

Last year, casino taxes accounted for $660 million in state tax revenue, but the latest budget forecast shows a drop of nearly $50 million, and that number could double by this time next year.
