LOUISVILLE, KY. (WDRB) -- He's already been charged in the murders of two women, and now the Associated Press is reporting that 54-year-old William Clyde Gibson will be charged with murder a third time.
The Associated Press is citing an unnamed Floyd Superior Court official who said Judge Susan Orth found probable cause during a Wednesday hearing to justify charging 54-year-old William Clyde Gibson with murdering 35-year-old Stephanie Kirk. That official declined to give her name, citing court policy, but said she was at the hearing.
Gibson is accused of killing 75-year-old Christine Whitis and 53-year-old Karen Hodella. The remains of a third woman, Stephanie Kirk, were found in the backyard of Gibson's New Albany home last month, but as of Wednesday morning, he still hadn't been charged in her death.
Late last week investigators were in Bloomington, Indiana searching for more evidence in the case.
