LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Louisville Metro Police say a man decided to take action after someone tried to rob his wife outside a Louisville Sonic Drive-In.
According to an arrest report, 25-year-old Gregory McCraney, Jr., approached a woman as she was locking up the Sonic Drive-In on Ambrosse Lane, near the intersection of S. Hurstbourne Pkwy. and Six Mile Lane.
Police say the woman was preparing to transport business cash.
As she was leaving, police say McCraney began chasing her to her car.
Inside that car was the woman's husband.
Police say McCraney had his hand in his pocket, indicating that he was armed, and said, "I don't wanna hurt anybody. Gimmie the money!"
He then allegedly tried to push past the woman's husband and get to the money.
That's when the husband decided to take action. Police say he grabbed McCraney and the two began to fight. Eventually, the man wrestled McCraney to the ground and held him there until police arrived.
The woman's husband suffered minor injuries to his hands, knees and eye during the fight.
McCraney was taken into custody.
