LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The damaged Eggner's Ferry Bridge will reopen ahead of schedule.

Hall Contracting, which fixed the Sherman Minton Bridge, finished construction on it a full two and a half days ahead of schedule.

It's expected to reopen Friday at 2 p.m.

The deadline was Sunday.

A cargo ship brought down one span of the western Kentucky bridge in January.
