LOUISVILLE, KY. (WDRB) -- The re-opening of the former Kentucky Kingdom may be delayed until 2014. The old amusement park continues to sit idle in the meantime.
The owners of Holiday World have been trying to reopen the park as Bluegrass Boardwalk, but they are awaiting state approval of tax incentives.
The delay in signing a final lease with the state has put in question as to whether the park can reopen next spring as planned.
Its also been revealed that several of the larger roller coasters are in such bad shape that it's unlikely they will be part of a new park.
