First Friday Free Trolley Hop kicks off

LOUISVILLE, KY. (WDRB) -- Republic Bank steps up to make sure those who go trolley hopping, don't have to pay a dime.

Friday night kicked off the 2012 First Friday Free Trolley Hop.

All summer, riders can hop on and off to visit the various art galleries, shops and restaurants between Main and Market Streets from the NuLu district to downtown.

Republic Bank is sponsoring the rides which are offered the first Friday of every month in an effort to support downtown businesses.

"With the arena, NuLu, Main Street, there is so much going on I can personally say with every passing weekend, the expanded activity all the exciting things going on downtown," says Republic Bank Chairman and CEO Steve Trager.

You can catch rides at various stops every 15 minutes from 5 to 11.
