Indiana standoff triggered by drug deal

Posted: Updated:

LOUISVILLE, KY. (WDRB) -- A drug dealer going to collect a debt triggers a standoff in Clarksville, Indiana.

"I asked again what the situation was or if we had any information. They said it was still an unknown problem, and as soon as we pulled up we observed someone carrying an assault rifle into the house," said Clarksville Police Department Cpl. Tony Lehman.

It happened just after 9 o'clock Friday morning at a house off Johnson Lane near Lewis and Clark Parkway.

Police arrested Verra Robinson and charged her with possession of marijuana.

They say they only found empty pill bottles in her car.
