Kelly Davis joined WDRB as a general assignment reporter in June 2012. In February 2013, she helped launch WDRB in the Morning Weekends. She sets her alarm clock at 2am to wake up with you every Saturday and Sunday from 6-9am. You can still find Kelly out-and-about during the week, telling stories in your community.
The first time she visited Louisville was for her interview, and now she's happy to call it home. Originally from the Chicago area, Kelly has worked her way around the Midwest. She graduated from the University of Iowa with degrees in Journalism and Psychology. Kelly found her passion for broadcasting in college, working for the student-run news program. She landed her first job at WWTV/WFQX in Northern Michigan where she reported and anchored for two years. Now, she's taking her skills south.
Kelly is an award winning journalist and has been recognized for her work numerous times by the Associated Press. She is thrilled to be part of a driven and dedicated team at WDRB.
When she's not on air, you can find Kelly running through Cherokee Park or dining at a local restaurant. Feel free to stop and say hi! If you have an idea you think would be a great story, get in touch with Kelly at firstname.lastname@example.org.
