Bourbon & Bowties brings chefs together to benefit Kosair Children's Hospital

Posted: Updated:

Some of Louisville's best known chefs are coming together to help sick children.

"Bourbon & Bowties: A Taste of Corbett's" offers 15 of chefs preparing specialty hors d'oeuvres. Attendees will get up close, as the chefs work their magic.  Chef Agostino Gabriele of Vincenzo's joined WDRB's Stephan Johnson with his wife Tracey and five year old son, Maxwell on WDRB in the Morning.

Maxwell Johnson is the guest of honor at "Bourbon & Bowties."  He was born three month premature and spent seven weeks in Kosair neonatal intensive care unit.  He also has hemoglobin SC, a mile form of sickle cell anemia, which means frequent visits to doctors to maintain his health.  The work of doctors allows Maxwell to enjoy music, parties, puzzles and naming the state capitals.
