LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- It's a good bet most burglars get in through an unlocked door, or a smashed window. But police say one Louisville man tried something different: he came in through the roof!

According to an arrest report, it happened on June 7. Police say 25-year-old Terry Pennington broke into the CVS Pharmacy at the corner of 31st St. and Portland Ave. by climbing in through the roof.

Pennington allegedly climbed a ladder to gain access to the roof, then used duct work on top of the roof to make his way inside.

Once inside, he allegedly stole prescription drugs.

The incident was captured on surveillance cameras, according to police.

Officers arrested Pennington Thursday afternoon. When police searched his vehicle, they allegedly found multiple painkillers inside a bottle.

Pennington allegedly admitted that they came from the burglary.

He was charged with burglary and possession of a controlled substance.
