Kentucky terror suspect wants out of jail until trial

LOUISVILLE, KY. (WDRB) -- An Iraqi man facing terrorism charges in Kentucky wants out of jail until his August trial.  Mohanad Shareef Hammadi is asking the judge to release him on home detention, claiming his rights are being violated.

His lawyer says Hammadi is being held in solitary confinement under an assumed name in a jail with no interaction with other inmates or recreation during daylight hours.

He's charged with perjury and attempting to send material support to a known terrorist organization.

Waad Ramadan Alwan has already pleaded guilty and is awaiting sentencing in October.
