LOUISVILLE, KY. (WDRB) -- A suspect in a standoff last Thursday night faces more charges.

Indiana State Police arrested 31-year-old William Hoffman after he was wounded in a shootout with officers late Thursday night. On Monday he was charged with attempted murder, attempted aggravated battery, attempted battery with a deadly weapons, intimidation with a deadly weapon, and pointing a firearm.

That's in addition to an original charge of criminal recklessness.

Police say Hoffman went inside after police got to the scene about 8:45 p.m Thursday, and came back out onto the porch with a shotgun. They say Hoffman began shooting at officers from inside the house about 11 p.m. Officers returned fire, stormed the house about 3 a.m., and arrested Hoffman.

Hoffman was treated at a Cincinnati hospital for a gunshot wound to his shoulder.
