National designer Matthew Robbins creates edible centerpieces

Posted: Updated:

Nationally known designer Matthew Robbins knows how to set a table. He stopped in town to be a part of the Louisville Visual Art Association's Dinner (re) Works 2012. The exhibition spotlights hand-crafted dinnerware, and Robbins used his creative eye to demonstrate how to make edible centerpieces. But his centerpieces are not fruit cut into shapes. His centerpieces are made from things like of lettuce, watercress, cauliflower, dill, parsley, rosemary, mushrooms, kale, mustard greens, collard greens, asparagus, fresh lavender, and radishes.

The Louisville Visual Art Association (LVAA), in partnership with The Hite Art Institute Cressman Center for Visual Arts on East Main Street in exciting downtown Louisville, is proud to sponsor DINNER(re)WORKS 2012 - a five-week exhibition of handmade ceramic dinnerware created by 16 acclaimed artists from throughout North America.
