LOUISVILLE, KY. (WDRB) -- Growing demand has Brown Forman opening a second barrel-making facility, this one in Alabama.
The second cooperage will open in 2014 in Decatur, Alabama to craft barrels to meet worldwide growing demand for Jack Daniel's whiskey. The facility will create about 200 jobs.
Brown Forman already operates a facility in Louisville. The company says it's close to reaching capacity and there's no room to expand the Louisville facility.
The opening of the Alabama facility will allow the company to double its barrel-making capacity.
