LOUISVILLE, KY (WDRB) -- A woman has died after attempting to help her son push a vehicle from a ditch.
The accident happened at Chenoweth Run Road and Gellhaus Road around 2 a.m. Sunday.
The coroner says her son was unable to each the gears in time to keep the vehicle from rolling back on top of his mother, 49-year-old Angela Hagan of Louisville. The coroner says she was suffocated.
"It's just an unfortunate situation that's happened and took the life of an individual," said LMPD spokesman Dwight Mitchell.
Hagan was pronounced dead at the scene at 2:20 a.m.
Police do not believe alcohol or speed were involved in the accident.
