LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Police say a man tried to sexually assault a woman after forcing his way inside her home early Sunday.

According to the arrest report, 37-year-old Walter Grau-Avila knocked on the victim's door in the 700 block of Brookline Avenue just after 1 a.m. on June 17. The victim told police when she cracked the door open to see who it was, Grau-Avila pushed her back and forced his way inside.

At that point, police say Grau-Avila told the victim he knew she liked and wanted him.  The report says he touched himself in a sexual manner, groped her, and tried to place his hand inside her clothing.

Police say the victim struggled with Grau-Avila and managed to push him out the door. Police found him at his house, which was only a short distance away, and arrested him around 2:30 a.m.

Grau-Avila is now charged with burglary and sexual abuse.
