LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Police say they caught a would-be burglar before he could get away with the loot.

According to the arrest report, police saw 30-year-old Dustin N. Arnold leaving an Okolona home he allegedly broke into in the 4200 block of Narcissus Drive. It happened just before 4 p.m. on June 17. That's where officers responding to a trouble call caught Arnold leaving the home through the back door.

Police say Arnold admitted that he had entered the home through a rear window. Detectives say he was filling a purse he found in a bedroom of the home with items he planned to steal.

Arnold was arrested and charged with one count of second degree burglary.
