LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A tragic evening unfolded Monday after parents found their 8-month-old boy dead inside a hot car outside their Louisville home.
Police say one of the parents walked out to the car to find their only child dead in his car seat after he had been there for "several hours" Monday afternoon.
The body of the child was found on Glenwood Road, near Lime Kiln Lane, in east Louisville.
Louisville Metro Police spokesman Dwight Mitchell tells WDRB News the child was found strapped in a car seat.
No charges have been filed at this time. Police are working the case as a "death investigation."
The boy's parents are being interviewed by police.
Neighbors tell us the couple just moved in a couple weeks ago.
