LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The Jefferson County Coroner's Office has identified an 8-month-old who was found dead in a car on Glenwood Road in east Louisville Monday evening.
The child has been identified as Lincoln Lindsay.
The coroner's office says he spent the afternoon in the back of his father's car, which was parked in the parking lot of his father's workplace.
When the father realized what had happened, the coroner's office says he rushed the child home, because both the child's mother and another family member had a medical background and he had hopes that one of them could save him.
The child was pronounced dead at 6:17 p.m. at the home. The cause of death is determined to be, "complications of environmental exposure - ambient heat due to entrapment in an enclosed motor vehicle."
The coroner's office has ruled the death an accident.
