Posted: Updated:

LOUISVILLE, KY. (WDRB) -- Southern Indiana's housing market is showing a steady recovery.  Nearly 14 percent more homes were sold from January to May, compared to the same time last year.

Floyd and Scott counties led the increased home sales.  Homes in the area have also been selling at higher prices.

Housing data from RE/MAX of Indiana shows the average price of homes increased by 6 percent over the last year, up to just over $126,000.
