CRAWFORD: Interview with Rakeem Buckles

LOUISVILLE, KY. (WDRB) -- WDRB's Eric Crawford spoke with transferring basketball player Rakeem Buckles about he decision to leave U of L and enroll at Florida International University.

FIU is coached by Rick Pitino's son Richard and another former U of L assistant Mark Lieberman who was Buckles' high school coach.

Buckles had an injury-plagued stay at Louisville. He played in 11 games last season averaging 4 points and 4 rebounds. He was expected to miss the upcoming season while recovering from the second torn ACL of his career. The 6'-7" forward returns to his hometown of Miami where he was class 4A player of the year.
