LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Louisville Metro Police say a woman is suffering life-threatening injuries -- and her brother is under arrest -- after a shooting Monday morning.
According to Louisville Metro Police spokesman Dwight Mitchell, officers were called to Norton Suburban Hospital shortly after 8:00 a.m. after a report that a shooting victim had been brought into the emergency room with life-threatening injuries.
She was immediately taken to University Hospital due to the seriousness of her injuries.
No one called 911.
Police say the shooting took place at a home on Trotter Trace, near Beulah Church Road. The exact time of the shooting is not known.
There are blood stains on the front door and a pool of blood on the porch.
Police will not say how many times she was shot.
Crime scene investigators are gathering evidence at the home. Neighbors say a woman, man and older woman live at the home.
Late Monday afternoon, WDRB News learned that the woman's brother, 20-year-old Jules Snead, was arrested. He is charged with first-degree assault.
At the time of this writing, the woman is in critical condition.
