More ramp closures on the Kentucky side of the Kennedy Bridge

Posted: Updated:

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- If you thought your commute to work Monday was rough, Tuesday may be worse.

Additional ramps on the Kentucky side of the Kennedy Bridge closed at 8pm Monday night.

Crews closed the exit ramps from 65 north to 64 east and west, and 71 north.

They delayed these ramp closures a couple days to change the traffic flow for commuters, and those who rely on this bridge for business.

Eagle Steel ships their products all over the country, and about 50% of their trucks travel across the Ohio River.

They're going to great lengths to combat the construction.

Buddy Yates, a logistics manager says "Our shifts come in a little earlier to work different hours in order to meet customers demand. We look forward to the process that they're making but it is a pain."

Several ramps will be opening and closing during different phases of this construction project.

It should all be complete by mid-August.
