LOUISVILLE, KY. (WDRB) -- The University of Louisville is racing ahead with expansion plans, with some help from companies like Churchill Downs.
School officials cut the ribbon Thursday on the first office building on the school's Shelby Campus on Hurstbourne Parkway. It houses the headquarters for Churchill Downs, Semonin Realtors, Stidel Nicolaus, and NTS Development.
The new building allows the school to generate income for its foundation to help fund academics and research for the university.
The school has already leased 80 percent of the building, and plans to build a second one nearby.
