LOUISVILLE, KY (WDRB) -- Record breaking heat isn't stopping folks from celebrating the Fourth of July. Organizers of Crescent Hill's Old Fashioned Fourth were prepared for the 100 degree temperatures.
They brought in misting stations, handed out waters and fans. They even used the historic Peterson-Dumesnil house as a cooling station. Dozens of art vendors were trying to make the best of the heat.
"People are hot but definitely the vendors are dealing with it well. You get used to it if you do a lot of shows and travel a lot." said Whitney Nave Jones, from Chattanooga TN.
Despite the dry conditions, the Crescent Hill fireworks were scheduled to go off at 10 o'clock Saturday night.
