4-year-old girl hurt in ATV rollover in SE Ind.

VEVAY,Ind. (AP) -- A 4-year-old girl was injured when she was thrown off an ATV that rolled over on a hill while she was riding with her brother and father in southeastern Indiana.

Indiana Conservation Officer Dave Jackson says the girl was flown to Children's Hospital in Cincinnati following the accident that occurred about 1:30 p.m. in Switzerland County.

Jackson says the three were riding together when the father lost control of the ATV going up a small hill and the vehicle overturned, throwing them off. The girl's 7-year-old brother wasn't injured. The father refused treatment for chest pain.

Conservation officers say none of the riders was wearing safety equipment.

Officers performed CPR on the girl when she lost consciousness, and she was airlifted to the hospital. Authorities didn't know her condition Sunday.
