LOUISVILLE, KY (WDRB) -- Kentucky Speedway officials say, despite the heat, thousands of fans attended the Quaker State 400 race.
They say NASCAR estimate at least 105,000 fans attended the big race. That's down about 2,000 people from last year, but officials believe heat may have played a part.
Tim Bray, with the Kentucky Speedway, says they had no major traffic problems on Saturday.
Improvements were made this year so that fans would have more parking and wouldn't miss the race.
Bray says the Speedway's plan was executed well for the race.
