LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Police say a Louisville woman woke early Sunday morning to a horrifying discovery: a strange man in her home, touching her inappropriately.

It happened at a home near the intersection of Churchman Ave. and Bicknell Ave. Police say 31-year-old Demontes Munford climbed through the window of a nearby home, where a mother and her infant child were sleeping on the couch.

Police say the woman woke to find Munford fondling her and exposing himself. When she confronted him, he allegedly told her he was a police officer, then changed his story, indicating he was a fire fighter.

He then left the home.

When officers arrived at the scene, they found Munford walking northbound on Churchman Avenue. When questioned, he allegedly gave them the wrong name.

The victim pointed him out as the person who broke into her home.

He was eventually identified and charged with burglary, giving an officer a false name or address, two counts of sexual abuse and impersonating a peace officer.
