LOUISVILLE, KY. (WDRB) -- A woman has died a week after police say she was shot, and her brother is charged with her murder.
Her family says 24-year-old Jericka Snead died Monday morning at University Hospital.
Last Monday, police say she was shot at a home on Trotters Trace near Beulah Church Road. Hours later her brother, 20-year-old Jules Snead, was arrested.
Police say the two got into an argument and Jules Snead shot his sister in the upper legs. Community activist Christopher 2X explains, "They love not only their daughter but they love their son that's obviously involved in this situation -- terrible tragedy. They're just asking the public to let the truth be sorted out through the judicial process."
Jules Sneak was originally charged with assault, but Monday afternoon those charges were upgraded to murder.
