LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A Louisville lawmaker has introduced legislation that would legalize marijuana for medicinal purposes.
Thursday, State Senator Perry Clark introduced the "Gatewood Galbraith Medical Marijuana Memorial Act" in honor of the late Lexington attorney and gubernatorial candidate.
For years, Galbraith was the leading proponent for legalizing marijuana.
Perry introduced the legislation several months early, hoping to gain support ahead of the next legislative session.
