Local church leader dies after car accident

LOUISVILLE, KY (WDRB) -- A Louisville church community is mourning the loss of one its leaders.

Matt Davidson, the worship leader at Southeast Christian's Oldham campus, died after being involved in a serious car crash earlier this week.

He underwent surgeries for broken bones but died from a pulmonary embolism.

He is survived by his wife and three children.

Pastor Dave Stone wrote: "This is a sad day for us. I take solace in remembering Matt's smiling face last week as he led worship and in knowing where he is today."

Visitation and the funeral service will be held at the Blankenbaker Campus, 920 Blankenbaker Parkway.

Visitation:
Tuesday 5-8 p.m.
Wednesday Noon-4 p.m. and 6-9 p.m.

Funeral Service
Thursday 11 a.m.
