Ramps remain closed longer in I-65 construction

LOUISVILLE, KY (WDRB) --WDRB News has learned that the exit ramps from northbound I-65 to eastbound I-64/northbound I-71 and westbound I-64 will not reopen Monday morning, July 9 as originally anticipated.

A press release from the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet says, "per the contract, the contractor has 15 days to complete the work on these ramps. The repairs took longer than expected and the contractor needs all of the allowed days to finish this work."

The ramps closed on June 25, with the delay, the contractor has until 5 a.m. on July 11 to complete the work and have the ramps reopened to traffic.
