LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The Jefferson County coroner's office has identified a man killed in Tuesday morning's Taylorsville Road crash near the Gene Snyder Freeway.
28-year-old Jon Burd, of New Haven, Ky., was in a Ford Focus headed east on Taylorsville, when investigators say he swerved into the westbound lane and struck a Lincoln MKX SUV.
After striking the SUV, investigators say his Focus also struck a van head-on in the westbound lane.
Burd was taken to University Hospital, where he died just after noon on Tuesday, the coroner's office said.
The driver and passenger in the SUV were not injured. The driver of the van was taken to a hospital with minor injuries.
At one point, traffic was backed up as far as Taylorsville Lake Road and Routt Road.
