LOUISVILLE, KY. (WDRB) -- The exit ramps from northbound I-65 to eastbound I-64/northbound I-71 and westbound I-64 will be closed a day longer than expected.
The ramps had been expected to open by 5 a.m. on Wednesday, but now they are scheduled to open at 5 a.m. on Thursday. The detour still takes drivers onto the Watterson Expressway.
The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet says the concrete on those ramps had deteriorated more than expected, which means repairs are taking longer.
The ramps are being repaired as part of a construction project on the Kennedy Bridge and in Spaghetti Junction.
Motorists should continue to use the signed detour via Interstate 264 (Watterson Expressway).
