BOZICH: Pick The 75 Greatest NCAA Tournament Players

What other players belong with Bill Walton on the list of the 75 greatest players in NCAA Tournament history?

Time to go to work. Put on your thinking cap.

Next season will be the 75th anniversary of the NCAA Tournament. To celebrate the moment, the NCAA wants to name the 75 greatest players in the history of the event.

They have a preliminary list but they've asked a group of writers to send along more nominations.

Many are easy -- Bill Walton, Bill Russell, Michael Jordan, Lew Alcindor, Patrick Ewing, Christian Laettner.

If you want three local names, how about Jack Givens from Kentucky, Darrell Griffith from Louisville and Isiah Thomas from Indiana.

But it's time for more names. You can post them at the end of this blog or email them to me at rbozich@wdrb.com.
