LOUISVILLE, KY (WDRB) -- Police are calling it a "tragic accident" after a 3-year old boy fatally shot his father.
Indiana State Police say a 33-year old Martinsville man brought his gun to a home in Salem, Indiana that he was remodeling. The boy then apparently found the loaded gun and it accidentally discharged killing the man, whose wife and three children were there with him.
No one else was hurt. The case remains under investigation but police say it was a "tragic mistake" of leaving a loaded gun in a child's reach.
