Former UK star Terrence Jones has started fast in the NBA Summer League.
What if I told you that Terrence Jones is averaging more
points in the NBA Summer League that he did at Kentucky last season?
You'd believe it because Jones sacrificed more of his
offensive game than any other player during UK's NCAA championship push. He
averaged 15.7 as a freshman, 12.3 as a sophomore.
Well, it's only two games, but Jones has scored 16 and 17
points for the Houston Rockets. He's also made 11 of 21 shots, including half
of his four three-pointers. He's got 14 rebounds, but only three assists.
Josh Harrellson,
his former and now current teammate, failed to score in about five minutes as
the Rockets lost to Washington, 76-70.
Lexington native
Shelvin Mack, who played at Butler, scored 11 points for Washington.
Former Doss High star Jeff
Brooks scored 6 points with 9 rebounds for the Wizards. Brooks played for
Penn State.
