LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- One person was killed and two seriously injured in a crash on Interstate 71.

It happened about 6:30 last night on 71 north in Carroll County.

56-year-old William Wildeboer swerved to miss debris in the roadway, his car went into a ditch, and then flipped several times. He died at the scene.

A 51-year-old woman and a twelve year old child were flown to University and Kosair hospitals with life threatening injuries.

Everyone in the car was wearing a seat belt.
