Mosquito fogging to begin

Posted: Updated:

LOUISVILLE, KY. (WDRB) -- Louisville is trying to get rid of a pesky problem, as the Metro Department of Public Health and Wellness begins fogging for mosquitoes Wednesday night.

Crews will be out in the Sylvania Park and Lake Dreamland areas.

It will be a "weather permitting" task since fogging cannot be done if it's raining, in winds over 10 miles per hour, or if temperatures are above 85 degrees.

Here are the boundaries of the fogging:

Sylvania Park Area

North:   Lower Hunters Trace
South:   Greenwood Ave.
East:      Terry Rd.
West:    Greenbelt Hwy.

Lake Dreamland/Riverside Gardens

North:   Ohio River
South:   Campground Rd.
East:      Senn Rd.
West:    Elmwood Ave.
