LOUISVILLE, KY. (WDRB) -- Police officers are making huge strides for fallen officers, one pedal at a time.  The 10th annual Cops Cycling for Survivors ride rolled through southern Indiana Thursday morning.

It the 11th day of the 13-day trek that will take the active and retired police officers 950 miles across Indiana.  The goal is to raise money for the families of fallen comrades, but that's not all.

Mtpr. Rich Crawford of the Indiana State Police explains, "One is to remind these communities of these officers who've given their lives in the line of duty and to not forget about families that have been left behind, and raise awareness and stir awareness of those families like Bruce Sutton killed here in Jefferson County, and the sacrifice he made for Jefferson County."

The ride ends Saturday in Indianapolis where the group will present a check.  Last year's ride raised nearly $42,000.
