Indiana gubernatorial candidate's child care ideas

Posted: Updated:

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Parents could soon get some help paying for child care in Indiana.

That's what Democratic gubernatorial candidate John Gregg says he wants to do if elected.

Gregg says he backs a program for 4 year olds that's similar to one in Wisconsin.

He also says he wants the state to create an income tax credit to offset child care costs and to permanently fund full-day kindergarten.

Gregg is running against Republican Mike Pence and Libertarian Rupert Boneham in November's election.
