Terrence Jones has been a beast in the NBA Summer League.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) – One-stop shopping for a look at how
local guys are performing the NBA Summer League:
*Terrence Jones
didn't play on Saturday, but has been ranked as the third best rookie in Las
Vegas. The only guys ahead of Jones are former Weber Star point guard Damian
Lillard and UConn wing Jeremy Lamb, who is Jones's teammate with Houston.
Jones averaged 18.2 points and 8.6 rebounds in Las Vegas. Kevin McHale, the Rockets' coach, is only lukewarm on featuring rookies, but Jones will average double-figures for Houston next season. Book it.
*Marquis Teague's summer
league struggles continued. He made three of nine shots and had four turnovers
and five assists in more than 26 minutes for the Bulls.
In four summer league games, Teague is shooting less than 30
percent and has yet to make a three-point shot. He also has 18 turnovers and 12
assists.
Get well quickly, Derrick Rose.
*Doron Lamb had
eight points, two assists and two rebounds for Milwaukee, but made only two of
eight shots.
*Darius Miller
failed to score and grabbed one rebound in only three minutes off the bench for
New Orleans.
*Nolan Smith did
not play for Portland and will miss the remainder of the Summer League because
of the concussion he suffered last week.
*Robbie Hummel
had four points and five boards in nearly 15 minutes for Minnesota. Taken 58th
in the second round, Hummel could sneak in there and make the T-Wolves.
