Power restored at Louisville Metro Corrections

Posted: Updated:

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Louisville Metro Corrections says their main jail facility now has electricity. A power outage Sunday forced the jail to go on lock down.

Captain William Ashby of Metro Corrections says that the power went off at around 6:00 p.m. Sunday.  Louisville Gas and Electric went to the scene and fixed the problem by 11 p.m.

Ashby says the power outage had no effect on the jail's security but did affected their computer systems.
