LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A Louisville man who was being arrested allegedly threatened to give a Louisville Metro Police officer AIDS, according to an arrest report.
Police say 21-year-old Charles A. Clark was involved in a domestic violence incident shortly before 4:00 p.m. Saturday and was being taken into custody. After being placed into a police car, he allegedly began banging his head against the passenger side window, causing it to shatter.
Police say they told Clark to stop acting up or he would injure himself.
When he continued banging his head, officers say they took him out of the car, placed him on the ground and inserted him into a restraining device to keep him from fighting with officers.
That's when Clark allegedly told officers, "I have AIDS...and I'm going to give it to you..."
During this scuffle, police say Clark tried to smear his blood on the arresting officer. When he was taken to University Hospital, he allegedly tried to spit on the medical staff.
Officers say that when they put Clark in a hospital gown, they found a bag of marijuana on his person.
He's been charged with assaulting a police officer, terroristic threatening, criminal mischief and possession of marijuana.
