LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Police are investigating after a man was shot and killed on a TARC bus Monday afternoon. It happened just before 3 p.m. at the intersection of Bardstown Road and Goldsmith Lane.
Police say a man got onto the bus and shot the victim, who is described as a male in his late teens or early twenties. Police say there were about six to eight people on the bus when the shooting happened.
Officers are talking to witnesses as they try to gather more information. They will not say how many times the victim was shot or what the relationship between them might have been.
There's no description yet of the suspect, who left the scene after the shooting. There's no word whether he ran away or left in another vehicle.
Police are also talking to a woman who ran into a nearby hotel, to see what she witnessed. The TARC driver is also being interviewed. The director of TARC is also on the scene.
